Parents Super Visa

Super Visa is dedicated especially for parents and grandparents. To be eligible for a super visa, you must:

  • be the parent or grandparents of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada

  • Have a signed letter from your child or grandchild that invites you to Canada and includes:

– a promise of financial support for the duration of your visit

– the list and number of persons in that person’s household

– a copy of the Canadian citizenship or permanent resident document of that person

  • take out health insurance with a Canadian insurance company:

– valid for at least 1 year from the date of entry

– coverage of at least $ 100,000

– have proof that medical insurance has been paid (quotes are not accepted)

You must also:

  • be allowed to enter Canada

  • pass an immigration medical examination

  • meet certain other conditions

Financial support (proof of funds)

The child or grandchildren who invite you must prove that their household has the necessary minimum income. The following documents are examples of what can be used as proof of funds:

  • Notice of Assessment or T4 / T1 Notice for the most recent taxation year

  • heels of Employment Insurance

  • Letter of employment with salary and date of employment

  • pay slips

  • Bank statements
