Immigration To Canada

Agri-Food Immigration Pilot

Agri-Food Immigration Pilot Program is an interesting program for immigrating to Canada. The Agri-Food Immigration Pilot Project will pilot a new industry-specific approach to meet the labor needs of Canada’s agri-food sector, particularly in meat processing and mushroom production.

While immigration to the agricultural sector is largely based on seasonal workers, this pilot project aims to increase the benefits of economic immigration in the agri-food sector by testing a new pathway to permanent residence.

The pilot project will seek to attract experienced, non-seasonal workers who can economically establish themselves in Canada and who meet the labor needs of the agri-food sector.

In particular, the pilot project will focus on attracting retail butchers, industrial butchers, food processing workers, harvest workers, farm workers, and farm supervisors and livestock workers.
