Home Child Care Provider/Home Support Worker Pilots
This stream targets foreign nationals in-home caregiver who have a related work experience under NOC 4411 or 4412 and give them
opportunity to become a permanent resident once they have 2 years of eligible work experience in Canada. It also lets their family members come to Canada to work or study while they get work experience.
To be qualify for this category you must:
have a valid language test results that show they can communicate in English or French;
have Canadian post-secondary diploma or certificate of at least 1 year, or an Educational Credential Assessment report from a designated organization showing that your education is equal to a completed at least 1 year certificate or diploma from a Canadian:
have related work experience in National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes 4411 or 4412
be admissible to Canada. You could be found inadmissible for a number of reasons, such as:
Security reasons such as espionage, violence or terrorism, etc.
Human or international rights violations such as war crime, crime against humanity, etc.
Committing a crime, including driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol;
Medical condition that endanger public health and safety;
Misrepresentation
Inadmissible family member;
Financial reason.
Employer can find an eligible in-home caregiver ( in or out of Canada) and submit an employment offer Application to IRCC. The process will take up to 12 months for the worker to get the work permit.
