Dr. Abbas Poorhashemi Re-elected as ICCBA Committee Member
The Canadian Institute for International Law Expertise (CIFILE) is delighted to announce that Dr. Abbas Poorhashemi has been re-elected as a committee member of the International Criminal Court Bar Association (ICCBA).
This appointment reflects Dr. Poorhashemi’s continued commitment to advancing international justice and his esteemed standing within the global legal community.
The ICCBA, governed by its Constitution, operates under the leadership of a General Assembly, which elects a President and a fourteen-member Executive Council responsible for managing daily operations and executing the association’s strategic vision. The General Assembly also appoints members to eight standing committees, including the Counsel Support Staff Committee, where Dr. Poorhashemi will serve. These committees play a critical role in addressing key issues and proposing initiatives within their respective areas of focus.
