Global Talent Stream is a new program for immigration to Canada. This program provides a responsive, predictable, timely and client-focused service that helps businesses access highly qualified global talent to expand their workforce in Canada and compete. worldwide. This component is carried out under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program. Launched on June 12, 2017, it targets Canadian innovative businesses that are targeted to Employment and Social Development Canada by a designated referral partner and are seeking foreign nationals with unique and specialized skills to grow and secure their growth. The component is also intended to help Canadian companies seeking highly qualified workers to fill positions for professions on the list of occupations requiring global talent.

If you are hiring a worker through the Global Talent Stream, you need to develop a labor market benefits plan that demonstrates that as an employer, you are committed to activities that have lasting and positive impacts on you. the Canadian labor market. Your plan will be reviewed annually to determine how well you are meeting your commitments.

It should be noted that the progress reviews of your labor market benefit plan targets as an Employer under the Global Talent Stream are completely different from any compliance activities under the Program. temporary foreign workers.
