One of the new pathway to immigrate to Canada is the owner/operator pathway. This program is based on the work permit in Canada as a business owner and temporary foreign worker. The eligible candidate in this category could apply for permanent residency in any applicable field (provincial or federal) which is open to temporary foreign workers. Owner-Operator is a federal government initiative that applies in all provinces and territories.

It is important to mention that the success rate of this pathway is relatively high because the applicant will invest capital in the existing or new Canadian business, which will result in retention of employment, job opportunities and other economic factors.
