Notes biographiques:

Dr. Poorhashemi occupe le poste de président de l’Institut canadien d’expertise en droit international (CIFILE), mettant à profit sa vaste expérience académique et son expertise en droit international. Son domaine de spécialisation professionnel englobe le droit international public, le droit pénal international et le droit international de l’environnement, reflétant son engagement dans la recherche, l’enseignement et la pratique dans ces domaines. En tant que rédacteur en chef du Journal de droit international du CIFILE (CJIL) au Canada, il contribue de manière significative au discours universitaire dans le domaine.

Son parcours académique comprend l’obtention d’un doctorat en droit international de l’Université de Strasbourg, Faculté de droit en France en 2005, suivi d’un stage postdoctoral en droit international et mondialisation au CEDIM, à l’Université du Québec à Montréal, Canada, en 2013. Pendant plus d’une décennie, il a occupé le poste de professeur adjoint et de membre du corps professoral à l’Université des sciences et de la recherche (IAU), où il a transmis ses connaissances dans divers aspects du droit international aux étudiants en JD et LL.M. internationaux. Le portefeuille d’enseignement du Dr Poorhashemi comprend des sujets tels que les traités internationaux, le règlement des différends internationaux, le droit pénal international et le droit international de l’environnement.

Tout au long de sa carrière universitaire, il a supervisé, dirigé et codirigé plus de 200 mémoires et thèses sur le droit international, démontrant ainsi son engagement à former la prochaine génération de juristes. Au-delà du monde universitaire, le Dr Poorhashemi a également exercé le droit en tant qu’avocat (avocat et solicitor), expert et conseiller juridique en droit international, droit pénal et droit de la famille dans de nombreuses juridictions différentes.

De plus, le Dr Poorhashemi est un expert inscrit auprès de la Cour pénale internationale (CPI) à La Haye, aux Pays-Bas, depuis 2023. Son rôle lui permet de fournir des connaissances spécialisées dans des domaines tels que le droit pénal international, le droit international de l’environnement, le droit international des droits de l’homme et le droit international humanitaire. Il est disponible pour offrir des services d’expert à tout organe de la Cour et pour participer activement aux procédures judiciaires, en respectant les réglementations énoncées dans l’article 44 du Règlement de la Cour.
